Currently, the health counters at SSR Airport can be a real mess. If you arrive without the form completed, you’ll be forced to fill it out on the spot. It takes roughly 10 to 12 minutes per person to complete—and that’s if you can even find a spare pen or a flat table surface in the crowded, busy terminal. For a family of four, that is nearly an hour wasted just standing around after a long-haul flight.

- Avoid Extra Waiting Fees: Most transport companies have strict schedules and pay for airport parking. If you are delayed by an hour at the health counter, many drivers or companies may be forced to charge you additional “waiting hour” or parking fees.

· Maximum Waiting-Time: 2 hours (for arrivals only) – additional waiting hour is charged at EUR 10 / hour.
· We also provide taxis at Mauritius Cruise Terminal, which is located in Port Louis.
· We recommend contacting us before booking to ensure vehicle availability if you need a same-day booking.
· An additional fee of EUR 15 may apply on late-night transfers (between 11 pm-4 am)
· Payment Methods: (1) Cash payment can be made to the driver in MUR/EUR/USD (2) Pay-Online in EUR prior to the transfer. The payment link will be in your booking confirmation email.
· In the event of cancellations made at least 2 hours prior to the transfer, a full refund will be issued.
· The first child seat ordered is free of charge. Any additional child seats ordered will be charged at EUR 10 per seat. If you are booking a child/toddler seat, please mention the child’s age.
· Generally, our standard cars are able to accommodate three passengers with three medium-sized suitcases, but if you have large sports bags such as golf & surf equipment, you may want to book a larger vehicle such as a minivan.
· In case of bad weather, flooding, or any other main events occurring on the island, Taxi Service Mauritius reserves the right to request an earlier pick-up in order to reach the airport on time for departure. Our drivers are forced to make heavy diversions during bad weather because some of our roads are flooded.
· For departures, we recommend that your pick up at least 3.5 hours before your flight time due to Mauritius’ traffic conditions, especially in the morning. Use Google Maps to determine travel time and distance or talk to us.
· Surfboards, golf bags, and other items not counted as normal luggage should be indicated when booking your airport transfer.
· Drivers are only able to speak English, French, Hindi, and other local languages.
· If you are paying cash in EUR or USD to the driver, kindly ensure that you tender the exact amount as drivers may not always have change in EUR and USD with them.
· Taxi Service Mauritius reserves the right to provide free upgrades to bookings & send a larger vehicle without additional charge. In some cases, luxury SUVs are also available to carry standard car transfers, but only when they are available. For example, if you book a family minivan, you may get an executive minivan for your transfer, but never a smaller vehicle.

Your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a personalized sign displaying your name. You will also receive the driver's name, photo, and contact details via email or WhatsApp before your arrival, so you know exactly who to look for.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
No worries at all. We monitor all flight arrivals in real-time, so if your flight is delayed, your driver will automatically adjust the pickup time at no extra charge. You won't be left waiting or charged additional fees.
Can I cancel or modify my booking?
We offer free cancellations up to [2 hours] before your scheduled pickup time. If your plans change, simply contact us via email or WhatsApp, and we'll take care of the rest.
How do I pay for my transfer?
We offer flexible payment options for your convenience. You can pay securely online when you book, or pay in cash directly to the driver in MUR, EUR, or USD. There are no hidden fees or surcharges.
Are there any extra charges for luggage or additional passengers?
No. Our quoted price is all-inclusive. There are no hidden fees for suitcases, car seats, or tolls. What you see is what you pay. Note the included waiting-time is 2 hours. Additional hours will be charged at EUR 10 per hour, representing the airport tolls (parking fees).
Do your drivers speak English?
Yes. All of our drivers are professional, courteous, and fluent in English. Many also speak French and Creole, ensuring clear communication throughout your journey.
Will the driver stop at souvenir shops or other places along the way?
